Since 1957, Bea Smith's has been the fashion leader in southern Rhode Island offering style, quality, and value with exceptional customer service. The business was started by Beatrice Nardone Smith who was a pioneer in her field in the 50s and 60s. Raymond Smith took over operations from his Grandmother, Bea in 1984.
In 1995, Ray expanded the business by initiating traveling clothing shows in retirement communities. The program rapidly grew and Ray now visits over 75 retirement communities and senior centers in southern New England and New Jersey semi-annually.
In 2016, Bea Smith's changed their business model to a warehouse format to maintain and continue to grow the popular traveling clothing show program. Together, Ray and his wife, Sharon manage this growing company focusing on traveling clothing shows, phone orders, and their e-commerce platform.
